BEGINNERS SERIES: INTRODUCTION TO YOGA
Join Steve Boechler (Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher) for a four-week introduction to yoga series. Yoga for Everyone!
Sundays 12pm-1pm Sept 24, Oct 1, Oct 8, Oct 15 Week one: We will explore the foundations for seated and standing postures and the use of props in our practice. We will bring awareness to our breath and enjoy the experience of exploring Yoga from the unique position of our own bodies. Week two: We review our practice from week one and explore new postures in our study of Yoga. Week three: We will continue to explore the physical practice of Yoga (Asana – the Postures) focusing upon bringing intent rather than tension, breathing, and the acceptance of what our body is telling us as we practice. Week four: We will link together postures we have been studying introducing flow and movement to our practice. Questions are always welcome as we explore Yoga in a safe and supportive environment. |
AUTUMN INTENTIONS
Join Jodi Webber and Annica Melanson for a mindful, all levels, sensory infused practice.
This yang to yin practice will leave you feeling inspired to gently close summer 2023 in a heart centred way. Embrace the transition to fall, as we create space to set intentions for the last quarter of 2023.
This practice will start with mindful movement to unify the body/mind connection. In this space, we can more easily hear the whispers of the innate wisdom inside each of us. We will then move to the quiet introspective practice of yin. The longer held, meditative poses will focus on releasing and letting go.
We will incorporate sound, scent, healing touch (optional), and intentional journal prompts throughout our journey.
When: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
1:00PM -3:30PM
What to bring: journal, favorite pen and favorite mug. Doors open 30 minutes prior for tea!
